THERE were two penalties in the first half given to the visitors, with Ben Hunter saving the first but being beaten by Davide Rodari late on.
Bay started slowly and Hastings should have gone ahead in the 15th when the ball struck the bar and dropped onto the line. Calum Davies followed up but Hunter saved at point blank range.
The second period saw Hastings dominate and increase the lead when Sam Beale hit a speculative shot from 30 yards. The ball took a nasty bounce and rolled into the goal.
