HEARING managers say ‘I won’t make an addition to the squad unless the player can improve the quality of it’ chimes with the kind of talk in Westminster.
The series of one-month loan deals dimed out to the lower leagues from above fuel a façade of the elite academies in this country and shadow a Non-League club’s genuine hopes of moving up the steps.
If you’re serious about earning promotion, do not stunt progress with shortlived 28-day loans.
Anything less than a six-month loan should not be considered worthwhile.
