CHESHAM U 2 BISHOP’S STORTFORD 1

CHESHAM secured their fifth consecutive league win but had to come from behind against lowly Bishop’s Stortford.
With the wind in their favour the visitors dominated the first half, as Jamie Cureton and Jason Williams both forced fingertip saves from Chesham keeper Harry Isted early on.
On the half-hour Cureton netted after a Williams shot was blocked but the goal was disallowed for offside. However veteran striker Cureton gave a reminder of his quality with a dipping shot over Isted to give the Blues the lead on 39 minutes.
