LONG-STANDINGBedford Town chairman David Howell has sold the Evo-Stik South East club to a local consortium.
Howell has confirmed that the Eagles are now under new ownership with first team manager Jon Taylor part of the group which now controls the club.
A statement by Howell, who had owned the club for almost 20 years, read: “When I took over the Chairmanship of Bedford Town FC, seventeen and a half years ago, the club was in a parlous financial state.
