RAMSGATE lost a scrappy and often fractious local Kent derby against Herne Bay 3-1, ending the game with nine men.
Jake Embery opened the scoring from the penalty spot after Charles Dickens had blocked Tom Carlton’s shot with his arm.
On the stroke of half-time, the Rams were reduced to ten men when Dickens received a second yellow for a reckless challenge on England U18s defender Sam McCallum.
