■IN HEAVY conditions the two teams served up an attractive game.
The first goal fell to the visitors as Jack Normanton overlapped down the right and chipped Chris Thompson in Clitheroe’s goal.
Joe Mitchell restored parity on 18 minutes with a similar goal as his shot eluded a backpedalling keeper.
Clitheroe took the lead when Dimitri Tuanzebe laid a short cross to Ross Dent who cushioned it for Jack Egan to score.
Egan was in the thick of the action for the third goal as he crossed to Kurt Willoughby who controlled and shot home.
