■A FIRST-HALF brace from Dan Bennett guided Merstham to victory at Bloomfields.
It was a rare defeat for the Reds who were unbeaten in seven matches prior to this.
Despite three league places separating the sides, the Moatsiders produced a dominant display. Bennett scored his first goal from close range with nine minutes played after Needham failed to clear their lines.
