BOTHteams seemed keen to stamp their authority in this hard-fought match.It led to some strong tackles and an early booking for the Blues’ Peter Kioso.
Mano Langlais and Alex Ward were defensive stalwarts in midfield for Dunstable. The Poppies defence, marshalled by Brett Solkhon, was also effective and resolute.
Nathan Harness, the Blues goalkeeper, made a number of saves, but an even first half, ended with Matthew Stevens scoring from a failed Blues clearance in the 45th minute.
