A SOLITARY Josh Nelmes goal steered the Peacocks to victory on a momentous day at the Viridor Stadium.
With Salisbury losing to Cinderford, the win saw Town crowned West Division champions with five games to spare.
The only goal arrived after eight minutes with the first effort by either side. Nelmes was on hand to bundle in a Shane White corner at the far post.
Dan Sullivan and Nuno Felix came close to extending the lead, while Lloyd Irish pulled off a couple of routine saves at the other end.
