CHIPSTEAD were unable to hold on to the points against a spirited Hastings side who kept their minute hopes of a play-off spot alive.
The hosts took the lead in the fourth minute thanks to a sublime side-foot volley from Matt Warren on the edge of the penalty area.
But Hastings equalised just before halftime, as Davide Rodari headed in to send the teams to the break on terms.
The visitors managed to capitalise in the second half, as skipper Sam Adams finished past Michael Sibley in the Chips ‘ goal on 74 minutes.
