CHESHAM eventually overcame rock-bottom Gosport in an eventful game. The visitors could not take advantage of a Chesham side who played the last half-hour with ten men and an outfield player in goal.
Chesham took an eighth-minute lead when Jefferson Louis ran on to Oran Swales’ through ball, held off a defender and slotted into the corner.
Gosport had the better of the first-half chances and Chesham keeper Hafed Al-Droubi saved from Nathan Walker, Rowan Vine and Joseph Lea. Chesham also came close when Oran Swales fizzed a shot just wide.
