■WORTHING extended their unbeaten home run to ten games with this narrow win, which earned boss Adam Hinshelwood a new three-year full-time contract.
The hosts made a flying start and Needham keeper Danny Gay saved from Reece Myles-Meekums and Ben Pope early on.
Worthing striker George Barker shot over from long range before Zack Newton prodded straight at Gay after a surging run.
