GOSPORT needed to win this match to ensure they would retain their Step 3 status – and they did it in some style.
Leading 1-0 after 51 minutes they suddenly found themselves playing against ten men when George Bugg was sent off for bringing down Ryan Pennery, who despite being several yards offside was allowed to bear down on goal.
That changed the game with visiting keeper Patrick O’Flaherty making several excellent saves and Gosport snapping up their goal chances.
