HEYBRIDGE Swifts were forced to settle for a spot in the play-offs despite ending their regular season with a comfortable 2-1 win over Soham Town Rangers.
Needing a win and other results to go their way, the Swifts fulfilled their part of the deal but with all other promotion chasers picking up three points, fifth place was all they could eventually muster with Haringey Borough the play-off challenge ahead.
