NORTHERN LEAGUE
MARSKE United were crowned champions for the second time in four years after they played out a goalless draw at home to Newcastle Benfield.
The Seasiders, who have scored 100 league goals and are two short of a century of points, overcame a massive fixture backlog to win the title.
Carl Jarrett’s side had to cram in 11 games in 18 days, but headed into the match on the back of five straight home wins.
