SHIELDS HAIL THE END OF COVETED ARCA ERA

SOUTH Shields captain Julio Arca has announced his retirement from playing after leading the Tynside club to the Evo-Stik North title this season.
The Argentine helped South Shields to the league title in each of his three seasons with the club and led them to Wembley success in the FA Vase last season.
Before joining South Shields in 2015 the midfielder made over 150 appearances for both Middlesbrough and Sunderland.
