WEMBLEY MEETING ENOUGH TO SWAY CARTER

CHESTERFIELD boss Martin Allen has revealed that a chance meeting with Charlie Carter at last months’ FA Trophy Final convinced the Woking midfielder to join the Spireites.
The 21-year-old scored 13 goals in all competitions for the Cards last season having graduated from the club’s academy but couldn’t save the club from relegation to the second tier.
Allen explained: “I met him a few weeks ago at Wembley Stadium where I was watching the FA Trophy final.
“He’s been up to Chesterfield to look round our stadium and he loved it all.
