HEYBRIDGE got off to a winning start at a sunny Aspen Waite Arena.
There were early scares, with Soham hitting the woodwork in the first half and two good saves by Swifts keeper Danny Sambridge.
Swifts broke the deadlock on 60 minutes when Sam Bantick followed up an excellent save from close range.
