PAUL Shanley’s strike gave newly promoted Runcorn Linnets their fourth win in five league games.
Colwyn Bay, badly hit by injuries and delays over international clearance, had to field a depleted side with no recognised strikers.
Goalkeeper Paddy Wharton the area to fire the only goal of the game.
