BELPER Town suffered a nightmare afternoon against basement club Cleethorpes Town by losing 5-1 despite taking the lead in the 19th minute through Danny Gordon.
Scott Vernon led the fightback with a headed goal at the far post on 32 minutes then Belper gifted a second after ‘keeper Max Beardmore missed the ball leaving Brody Robertson to pass into the empty net.
