FIVE GOALS, a missed penalty and a long-range stunner — Atherton’s win over Runcorn had it all. After a remarkably goalless first half, Vinny Bailey fired home straight after the restart as Collieries went ahead, only for Freddie Potter to level.
Matt Grimshaw nodded the hosts back ahead and it seemed as though the win was sealed on 83 minutes, Danny Lambert heading home just a minute after Linnets’ keeper Dylan Forth saved a penalty.
