LEWES clung on to three points at a damp and windswept Dripping Pan.
The visitors started much the brighter, testing Lewes’ back three on several occasions.
D’Sean Theobalds came close to breaking the deadlock, his curled effort glancing just wide of Lewis Carey’s far post.
It was Carey himself who came to the Rooks’ rescue minutes later, with a superb closerange save amongst a melee in the box.
The Lewes goal came against the run of play and it certainly wasn’t one for the scrapbooks.
