CABLES ABLE AGAIN

PRESCOT CABLES have been saved by their local council who have bought the club’s ground.
The Northern Premier League West side were facing expulsion from the division after their landlords told them they could not extend their lease at Valoir Park, where they have played for 112 years.
But Knowsley Council stepped in and completed a freehold purchase of the ground while also granting the club a bumper 99-year lease.
