ATHERTON made it four wins from five with a dominant victory on home soil.
Tom Bentham, frustrated by an early offside flag, made amends when he slotted into the bottom right hand corner after being one-on-one with Athletics stopper Jack Livesey. Atherton bossed the opening stages and doubled their advantage on 53 minutes. Connor Gaul was left with ample time and space to pick up a loose ball, the man-of-the-match rounding debutant Livesey and tapping into an open net.
