A WEEK on from rattling ten goals past Staines, Basingstoke settled for three and a clean sheet against play-off chasing Kings Langley, with the woodwork preventing the score getting any bigger.
A quiet first half saw Basingstoke striker Sam Argent fizz a curling halfvolley narrowly wide before Harry Pearse’s deflected cross left him with a point-blank header to open the scoring.
