POOLS LAND A COUP IN EDGAR

CRAIG HIGNETT has added some extra Premier class to his Hartlepool United ranks – in the shape of former Newcastle United and Burnley defender David Edgar.
The 31-year-old Canadian international has teamed up with the National League club on a deal until the end of the season after a successful trial this week.
Edgar, whose father Eddie played 83 times in goal for Pools in the 1970s, has also represented Birmingham City, as well as having loan stints with Swansea City, Huddersfield Town and Sheffield United, Most recently he’s been playing back home in Canada for Ot...
