HEARD MAKES INVICTA’S NOISE

FIRST-HALF goals from Matt Newman and Ade Yusuff gave Invicta all three points at the Fullicks Stadium despite a spirited second-half comeback from Whitehawk who pulled a goal back through Duane Ofori-Acheampong. Central defender Newman opened the scoring with a strong header when Scott Heard sent over the first corner of the game from the right-hand side in the eighth minute.
Top goal-scorer Yusuff then made it 2-0 from close range in the 29th minute after the ball had ricocheted off a couple of defenders when Heard had gone round goalkee...
