AN 89TH-MINUTE winner from Dan Trickett-Smith secured Leek Town’s place in the playoffs after a tense battle at Colwyn Bay.
Leek had an early effort cleared off the line but the home side, in their last game before returning to Welsh football, defended well and Danny Andrews went close to giving them the lead with a shot that was just wide.
In the second half, Andrews had a shot cleared off the line after Leek keeper Danny Roberts had beaten out an effort from Lassana Mendes and Ashley Woods saw a strike hit the post.
