TWO late goals saw Lee Clark’s reign at Blyth Spartans get off to a winning start at Croft Park.
Scottish third tier outfit Stranraer were hanging on for a draw in front of a healthy 589-strong crowd.
But substitutes Ollie Harrison and Dale Pearson struck at the death to give a new-look Blyth victory.
Stanraer led at the break due to a goalkeeping error from Mark Foden, one of eight Blyth debutants.
Spartans failed to register an effort on goal in the opening 45 minutes, but were much better after the break.
