MERSTHAM’S strikers will be learning from the best next season after it was announced that former Premier League forward Barry Hayles will act as Frank Wilson’s assistant manager. Hayles, 47, has played for the likes of Stevenage, Millwall, Leicester City and Bristol Rovers but is probably best remembered for his spell at Fulham, where he found the net 44 times in over 200 appearances.
