GATESHEAD play- er-manager Mike Williamson rested his 11 contracted players at Consett yesterday - despite only having fi ve scheduled pre-season games.
The Heed, who lost 3-1 at home to Championship outfit Middlesbrough in midweek, fielded a youthful side at Belle View.
