FRIDAY night’s departure of centre-back Callum Howe to rivals Solihull Moors didn’t look to have any immediate affect on Harrogate Town who ended their pre-season with an emphatic win over an out-of-sorts Spennymoor.
Brendan Kiernan, one of seven summer additions to Simon Weaver’s squad, got the ball rolling just five minutes in, meeting a low cross from the right ahead of Spennymoor stopper Matthew Gould.
