Chivalry certainly not dead at Step 6

WHO says football is devoid of chivalry and honourable behaviour? Dip into Step 6 and it’s quite the contrary, based on the example set by AFC Blackpool.
What a shame an occurrence midway through the second half of last Saturday’s opening North-West Counties League match with division one visitors Steeton was picked up only by the handful of spectators within earshot of the referee. It capped the honesty with which both teams approached a rousing game in which the visitors managed to cling on to the 2-1 lead they held at the time.
