PAYTON PAYS PENALTY

GARSTANG parted company with manager Andy Payton this week after losing four of their opening North West Counties Division One North games.
Lying in 18th in the table, the former West Lancashire League champions had won just once this season with a club statement confirming Payton’s exit following a board meeting on Monday.
“The directors would like to thank Andy for his efforts and wish him well for the future,” it read.
