FARNBOROUGH’S pressing verve could just not find a way through Swindon’s red wall.
Whilst well organised as a collective, Supermarine’s defending defied their heritage; labouring agriculturally with two balls hoofed clear of the stadium in the first 20 minutes, however only harmless Boro flicks, skims and deflections made it through to their goal.
A rare Supermarine sortie saw everyone bomb forward and former Boro player Harry Williams made no mistake from the edge of the box for a smash-and-grab raid to lead at half-time.
