KRIS THACKRAY’S opener and a double by Paul Blackett meant Blyth Spartans ran out easy winners.
On 13 minutes, Darren Stephenson showed great strength and pace to get into Blyth’s box to pull the ball back finding Noah Stokes on the edge of the box, but Stokes just dragged his effort wide of the far post.
Blyth won a corner with ten minutes to go to the break and Aaron Cunningham rose unchallenged to head across goal, where Kris Thackray headed in.
