AN injury-time goal from Dan Cowan gave Curzon a share of the spoils but left Southport ruing a succession of missed chances that should have seen them out of sight.
The match was an entertaining affair, with both sides at times throwing caution to the wind, which was appropriate considering the gale-force conditions.
Both sides had early chances, but it was Marcus Carver who opened the home side’s account when he scored from close in after Connor Woods’ thunderous effort took a deflection and found the unmarked Carver.
