A FOGGY day in Heybridge saw league leaders Aveley visit the Aspen Waite Arena and it was the visitors looked the more threatening from the offset.
They had the ball in the net after ten minutes, but the linesman’s flag ruled it out. The rest of the first half didn’t have any clear cut chances, but Aveley certainly troubled the Heybridge goal more.
The second half started slowly, but soon came to life when John Benton rattled the Heybridge bar.
