AFC Sudbury 1-1 Romford: Strugglers battle to point

■ BOTTOM-club Romford earned a hard-fought point in this encounter against a Sudbury side that had to play the final 35 minutes with ten men after Sakariya Hassan was shown a straight red card for an altercation with visiting keeper Luis Shamshoum when trying to recover the ball after Sudbury had equalised.

■ BOTTOM-club Romford earned a hard-fought point in this encounter against a Sudbury side that had to play the final 35 minutes with ten men after Sakariya Hassan was shown a straight red card for an altercation with visiting keeper Luis Shamshoum when trying to recover the ball after Sudbury had equalised.
In an even and, for the most part, uneventful opening 45, it was Romford who led at the break after L’Hereux Menga got the final touch from a Golden Igbineweka shot after Sudbury had failed to clear a corner.
