A THREE-GOAL salvo brought Chorley a comprehensive victory over a shot-shy City who failed to muster a serious effort on goal.
The visitors, though comfortable in possession, were at times guilty of over-elaboration, a tactic which contributed to a torpid first half illuminated only by Magpies’ skipper Scott Leather’s ten-yards shot that hit the post.
