THE scoreline hardly mirrors the match given Chorley should have won this one much more comfortably.
In the first half, Adam Blakeman’s superb freekick thumped the bar and Ollie Shenton struck a post. Sandwiched between was the decisive goal from a penalty, after Brakes’ keeper Callum Hawkins clattered Connor Hall. The Magpies’ striker scored without fuss from the spot for his ninth goal of the season.
