WINTERTON frustrated third-placed Consett at a blustery Belle View and picked up a useful point in their fight to pull away from the relegation zone.
The visitors had the strong wind at their back in the first half, and Joshua Dacre thought he’d lobbed home keeper James Anderson from halfway after four minutes, but the ball dropped just over.
Scott Fenwick had Consett’s best chance of the first half, but couldn’t get enough on his hooked effort to trouble Rangers keeper Nathan Popple.
