POTTERS Bar Town secured their first home win of the season in a cagey bottom of the table affair, beating Canvey Island.
Adams thought he was in after 23 minutes, but the flag was raised against him as he went to lob the keeper.
Bar had the perfect end to a tense first half, when Adams turned home a scrappy corner to give the hosts the lead in first half added time.
The Scholars started the second half strongly, as Reiss Webber forced a smart stop from George Barrett, and Ronnie Henry headed onto the crossbar from the resulting corner....
