Altrincham have hailed long-serving manager Phil Parkinson for his ‘outstanding contribution’ to the club following his departure after eight years in charge of the Robins.
The 44-year-old left Moss Lane on Thursday after a run of six defeats in seven matches left the club 20th in the National League table, one point above the bottom four.
Arriving from a successful spell in charge of Nantwich Town, Parkinson was appointed Robins boss on April 28, 2017, on the eve of the final game of a season that saw Altrincham relegated to the Northern Premier League.
