■ WHILST the big freeze impacted the Wessex League programme on Saturday, some matches did survive. East Cowes Vics and Hythe & Dibden played out an eight goal thriller at Beatrice Avenue, with the game finishing 4-4.
Ex-AFC Bournemouth youngster, Jake Scrimshaw, scored for the hosts, along with Liam Triggs, Josh Neale and Elliot Wheeler.
Archie Lovegrove and Tom Moseley scored a goal apiece for Laverstock and Ford, with the Bulldogs winning 2-1 at home against Portland United.
