EVERGREEN Joe Garner brings the winning mentality Morecambe need, according to boss Adam Lakeland.
Garner, 38, has joined the Shrimps on a one-year deal – with an option for another – after leaving League Two Oldham Athletic.
Lakeland’s side will kick off at home on Saturday, August 8, against Spennymoor Town in National League North as they look to push for an instant return to Step 1.
Garner knows a thing or two about promotions and just over a year ago scored at Wembley as Oldham beat Southend 3-2 to return to the EFL.
