■ALFRETON TOWN are in the FA Trophy first round proper after a grittywin over Shifnal Town.
Jack Nadin’s early goal gave the Reds a platform to build from. And despite a late equaliser from Shifnal, Siya Ligendza restored the Reds lead late on.
The hosts took the lead in the eighth minute through Nadin. Daniel Odunaiya wriggled through the defence, getting his shot away which was blocked. Nadin was quickest to react, smashing in from close range.
