■ BLYTH were nearly on the wrong end of a giant-killing as Campion deservedly earned a replay in front of a Scotchman Road record crowd of 572.
After Blyth’s Mitchell Curry blazed over after 26 minutes, Aidan Kirby almost embarrassed Harrison Bond with 30-yard effort, then Zak Khan forced a fine save from Bond.
Just before half-time, a long throw caused panic in the Blyth box. Sam Bradley had an attempt cleared off the line and, on the rebound, Bond saved from Nicky Boshell. In the 70th minute, Kirby’s cross was poorly defended, and Khan gave Campion...
