HENDON edged to within three points of safety with a much-needed victory over high-flying Needham Market.
The Greens opened the scoring in the ninth minute when a corner from Matt Ball was blown straight into the net, past the best efforts of Marketmen keeper Danny Gay.
Eight minutes before halftime Keagan Cole doubled Hendon’s advantage when a ball was not cleared properly and he controlled it just outside the penalty area before firing into the net.
He blotted his copy book with a yellow card for simulation.
