FORMER Northern Ireland international and Manchester City midfielder Kevin Horlock has become Chatham Town's new manager.
The 42-year-old stepped down as Needham Market's academy manager two weeks ago and has also served as the club's assistant manager.
The UEFA A Licence holder won 32 caps for his country and made over 200 appearances for Manchester City as well as over 100 for Swindon Town and 58 for West Ham in a long and successful playing career.
Now Erith-born Horlock is back in Kent to replace Kevin Watson at the Chats after the former boss left at the beginning of October.
The club are currently fourth bottom of the Ryman South and director of football Steve Binks said: “Kevin has had a very successful playing career with Manchester City, West Ham, Swindon and Ipswich.
“Kevin has 32 international caps with Northern Ireland and the UEFA A coaching licence. After ending his professional career he went on to be a player coach, and assistant manager at Needham Market, where he also set up and ran their academy for five years.
“Kevin has now moved back to his roots in Kent and everyone at Chatham Town would like to wish him a very warm welcome and also a very successful career at the club.”
